Patches is based on a RL horse I rode at the Bar Lazy J Guest Ranch in 2000.  She is the only horse I really clicked with and I tried to buy her, but her owner's wouldn't sell.  Patches is named after a ride I took on her to the top of this mountain, where you could see everything for miles.  You truly felt like you could just reach up and touch the sky.

She has so much speed it's incredible, but she also has a lot of savvy.  I decided to retire her upon entering Riata as she deserves to be retired.  She has done wonderful things for me and I think its time I repay her kindness.
