Spirit Of Kokopelli Ranch

Holy crap!  I knew this cross would be amazing, but I didn't think it'd be this amazing!  On a cold January afternoon, Celtic Witch suprised us with her first foal...a full two and a half weeks early!  I was in the middle of a ride when my breeding manager came running over shouting that Witch was foaling and needed help.  I ran to the stall and to my horror, saw a red bag with a foot inside peeking out of Witch.  A red bag delivery wasn't what I was wanting.  We quickly pulled the baby out and luckily it began breathing on its own.  It wasn't for another 20 minutes I realized exactly what I had on my hands.  Despite the tramatic birth, Witch's filly was up and nursing in less than 40 minutes!  She never needed any help finding the milk bar!

After Witch dried off her filly, I stared in amazement.  A black sabino filly was more than I could ever hope for!  And this filly know she's something!  She has such an air about her and an attitude - oh my does she have an attitude!  She struts around her stall and pasture, with a confidence all her own.  Her "I know I'm hot stuff" attitude reminds me of a character in my favorite show - Sex and The City's Samantha.  Hence her stable name.  I'm head over heels in love with this filly and she's definitely NOT going anywhere!
